INSTRUCTIONS ON PAYING MEDICAL EXAMINATION AND TREATMENT FEES RELATED TO NCOV OUTBREAK

According to Official Letter No. 505/BYT-BH issued by the Ministry of Health on and coming into effect from February 06, 2020:

– Cases of free medical examinations and treatment for individuals who are quarantined/forced to be quarantined include:

  • Suspected nCoV infections;
  • Possible nCoV infections;
  • Confirmed nCoV infections;

– Regarding quarantined individuals, if they are stricken with other diseases within the quarantine period and must be examined/treated or are currently being treated for other diseases but must be quarantined then:

  • Those with health insurance cards will have their fees for treatment of other diseases paid for by health insurance funds within the scope of their rights as emergency cases, except already exempted fees. If treated at places with no contracts to examine and treat diseases with health insurance then health insurance funds will directly pay for such;
  • Those without health insurance cards must by themselves pay fees for treatment of other diseases.

– In case of patients who undergo examination and treatment by themselves and are concluded not to be quarantined then:

  • Those with health insurance cards will have their examination and treatment fees paid for by health insurance funds in accordance with laws on health insurance;
  • Those without health insurance cards must pay the fees by themselves.

Best regards,
