DIGITAL SIGNATURES FOR ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS TO BE USED IN THE SOCIAL INSURANCE SECTOR

Pursuant Decision No. 1166/QDBHXH issued by Vietnam Social Insurance on September 22, 2020 and coming into effect on October 01, 2020:

– Accordingly, digital signatures for electronic documents in the social insurance sector will be implemented as follows:

(i) Electronic documents must have digital signatures of authorized individuals or organizations in accordance with regulations;

(ii) An electronic document with a digital signature has the same effect as a printed document with a handwritten signature;

(iii) Digitally converted versions from printed copies of a signed and seal documents, which also has a digital signature, will have the same effect as the printed copy of a signed and sealed document before the conversation.

(iv) Signing on behalf of party as per authorization that follows regulations will be interpreted based on signer’s title specified in the digital certificate.
